Starting up…

For the last 6 months, I have now been on this incredible journey of running a startup. While the idea had taken seed much earlier, it is only for these last six months that I have been doing it fulltime, and it has been an unbelievable experience. Like everything in life, the journey has had its fair share of ups and downs and I have constantly felt the need to start my own blog on this topic, if only to just give vent to the exhilaration or frustration thats accompanied these ups and downs, and to share that experience with other folks who are contemplating a similar adventure in their own lives so they can avoid some of the mistakes we made. In the past few months, we’ve had countless situations where we had a question, or we needed validation on something, or just wanted advice from someone who had dealt with a similar issue in the past, and have had the good fortune of finding resources like http://pluggd.in, http://proto.in, http://www.venturewoods.org and http://vijaysblog.wordpress.com) – I am sure this is not a complete list by any means, but I am very thankful to the folks that run and maintain these and other such sites, they are a huge resource that every startup can benefit immensely from). While I dont expect mine to be anywhere near as comprehensive as any of these blogs, I hope that documenting my experience will serve to help the startup community in some small way.
